Poachers Leat is ideally located in the village of Carnhell Green in the heartland of West Cornwall. This welcoming small village has a good village Inn, restaurant & PO Stores & is a 5 minute drive away from the beautiful beaches of Gwithian and Godrevy and closely located to both St Ives on the North coast and St Michael's Mount & Penzance on the South Coast. Poachers Leat is within easy reach of the picturesque Cornish fishing village of St Ives, famous for its local artists, Tate Gallery, quaint cobbled streets, sandy beaches and numerous restaurants. The advantage of our central location is that we are also just a short journey away from the South Coast attractions of St Michael's Mount, famous town of Penzance & more beaches. There is easy access to the A30 providing easy access to many of Cornwall's major sights and attractions. |

Large conservatory lounge (with picture window over the Carp Pond) including kitchenette. The lounge has a feature opague roof which makes for a very light and airy feel to the property. There is seating in the lounge for 3, double sofa bed, armchair, coffee table, TV with DVD and free view satellite channels (including digital radio). There is a cast iron potbelly stove for those chillier evenings. The kitchenette facilities include a mobile island, fridge/ice box, belling 2 ring table top cooker with oven and grill, kettle, sink & draining area and ample supply of cutlery, crockery, pots & pans. There is a fold down dining table and 4 chairs. |

The property can accommodate 2 adults + travel cot, the double bedroom (with lovely rural views to St Ives, over open fields and on to the sea) has a kingsize double bed, double wardrobe with drawer, beside table and fully programmable electric heating . (There is a double sofa bed in the lounge for guests wishing not to share). |

Mr Ruff ( Jan 2009) - "We spent our honeymoon at Poachers Leat and recommend it very highly. The accommodation, being purpose built was very well laid out with a great deal of thought. The quirky features such as the carp pond and roof terrace are a great touch. The location is excellent with a local pub and post office / Local store being within a very short walk. Fantastic beaches are just a short 5 to 10 minute drive away. There is also a restaurant and farm shop at Trevaskis Farm which is a stunning find for those who like good, locally sourced food. Finally, the owner of Poachers Leat, Martin is a very accommodating and pleasant chap who was a pleasure to meet and chat with, his local knowledge is fantastic. I tried to book again last year, but the cottage was unavailable, so I'll be booking very early for my return trip this year ". |
